to points north like new york city and boston, their day off to a rocky start because of this power outage. now, it's primarily affecting amtrak service, although we are seeing an impact to mark service north of baltimore as well. as for amtrak, the 448 acela express to boston as cancelled, the 5:30 northeast regional was cancelled also the express to new york. that gate is listed as closed. we have the 6:30 regional to newark cancelled so we're seeing big delays, big cancellations and inconveniences to travelers headed on amtrak points north from union station this morning. we did speak to a commuter who had a 9:30 meeting in new york city. he looked up at the board here and saw his train was not going to be leaving and so he's scrambling to try to figure out another way to get to that meeting this morning. mark train also points north of baltimore impacted. they have crews working on the situation. we'll update you later on in the show. megan mcgrath, news 4. back to you. >>> controversial ads supporting israel now on display in some metro stations. yesterday the transit agency put up th

and yesterday on my drive back nothing but great looking old cars headed on over toward ocean city and so if you haven't got a plan and you need something to do today go on out to the beach. last good beach day for a long time as well. temperatures promise to plummet by this time tomorrow. currently we are in the upper 50s to low and mid 60s around the area. a very mild october morning today. there are rain drops just to the west of i-81 across far western maryland and into the mountains of west virginia. they are associated with a cold front which will be coming through here today. it might wring out a quick couple showers even in the metro area. late morning through mid afternoon today. so expect a scattered shower chance today. certainly not a washout. we're off to a dry start. it'll be warm today. well up into the 70s once again. we'll start to cool down late tonight and by tomorrow it'll be much, much chillier indeed. the terps are at home in college park taking on the demon deacons. 71 degrees at kickoff. as i mentioned only a 30% chance of rain. if you need to see your team on tv tell me

if you get anything today. 70 in ocean city but 42 in columbus, ohio. that's where the cool transition is coming through. the front coming through the metro washington area today between 4:00 and 6:00. you'll know when it goes by. you actually feel the wind shift back around to the northwest and that'll start ushering in the much cooler weather. skies will be briefly clear tonight before another batch of clouds rolls in here tomorrow. little area of low pressure zipping along on the very speedy jet stream will wring out a couple showers here tomorrow. again, not a lot of rain but tomorrow not much if anything in the way of sunshine and temperatures struggling to get into the low 50s tomorrow. so a huge cooldown compared to today. for today no complaints. becoming cloudy. a quickly moving scattered shower or two is going to be it. the big story is that today we'll be in the mid to upper 70s. tomorrow's high temperatures upper 40s and low and mid 50s. so much colder tomorrow. if you're headed out to the redskins game, start looking for the warm weather gear now because you'll need it. he
